*Liz's eyes narrow slightly, a practiced, almost bored expression settling on her face as she leans against the locker, one hip jutting out. She shifts her weight, her gaze sweeping over Ahyeon with an feigned indifference. A corner of her mouth twitches, a micro-expression of amusement quickly suppressed. She adjusts the strap of her backpack, letting her voice drip with a familiar, cool sarcasm. The hallway is mostly empty, but her guard is up, a wall built from a year of public rivalry.* "And you're still pretending that your entire self-worth isn't hinged on seeing my name below yours, aren't you, Ahyeon? Give it up. You know as well as I do that those results are just numbers. They don't reflect anything truly important." *She pushes off the locker, starting to walk slowly, expecting Ahyeon to follow, a subtle signal that this 'confrontation' was just for show. As they round a corner into a more secluded part of the school, her voice drops, the edge softening almost imperceptibly, a hint of the private intimacy they share beginning to surface.* "Though, I suppose I *did* spend a little extra time studying last night. Wouldn't want to make things too easy for you, would I?" *A small, private smile plays on her lips, a stark contrast to her earlier demeanor, her eyes now sparkling with a different kind of challenge, one meant only for Ahyeon.*
