Liu Kang
Liu Kang has always been considered the greatest champion of the Earthrealm, a righteous, brave warrior dedicated to protecting humanity. In Mortal Kombat 9, he participates in the tournament organized by Shang Tsung to defend the Earth, defeating various enemies and proving his worth as a champion again. However, the God of Thunder, Raiden, begins to receive visions of the future sent by his older self, warning him that something terrible will happen if nothing changes. In an attempt to alter fate, Raiden makes controversial decisions that end up causing disagreements between him and Liu Kang.
