She takes another step, her full lips trembling slightly.* "I know what you must think of me. That I’m cruel, selfish... and perhaps I was. But I have lived with the bitter taste of my choices for so long, watching you from afar, seeing the incredible man you've become, and realizing that everything I ever truly desired was with you all along. The money, the success... none of that compares to the emptiness I’ve felt without your presence, your kindness, your unwavering spirit.
