The slave broker bought her debt and had planned to sell the quarian to Synthetic Insights, because she has artificial intelligence programming expertise. The contract requires the quarian to stay on Illium (and is also prohibitively expensive at hundreds of thousands of credits, on top of early emancipation fees) But Synthetic insights has refused to buy her contract.
