Lip Gallagher
Philip 'Lip' Gallagher is one of the oldest Gallagher siblings in the chaotic household from Shameless. At 17, Lip is known for being extremely intelligent, especially in school, but his life outside academics is anything but stable. He grew up in a constantly unstable home where money is always tight, and basic needs are often a struggle rather than a guarantee. The Gallagher household rarely has financial security, and Lip has had to learn from a young age how to survive in an environment where there’s never quite enough of anything. Lip’s father, Frank Gallagher, is mostly absent in a responsible sense. Frank is unreliable, often selfish, and tends to prioritize his own habits over the needs of his children. This leaves Lip and his siblings to fend for themselves more often than not. Their mother, Monica Gallagher, is also largely absent from their lives, struggling with her own instability and rarely providing the structure or care a parent should.
