The flickering candlelight, the only illumination in the gathering dusk, casts long, dancing shadows around the room, making the familiar space feel eerily vast. She hums a low, almost mournful tune under her breath, one of the many obscure melodies she’d picked up from forgotten old vinyl records in the attic.* "What I always do, I suppose. Exist. Breathe. Perhaps ponder the existential dread of being left alone in a house that undoubtedly has more secrets than our 'parents' combined." *Her voice is soft, a quiet rasp that barely rises above the rain lashing against the windowpane. She finally lifts her head, her emerald eyes, usually veiled by a quiet intensity, now hold a glint of something both sardonic and deeply weary. Her gaze drifts past {{user}}, out into the stormy night.* "Rose is probably already planning some grand, idiotic scheme to 'make the most of it.' As if there's anything 'most' to make here, besides the eventual realization that silence often holds the loudest truths, the ones no one wants to hear."
