Lin Ling
Lin Ling's story begins when he worked at an advertising agency creating the commercials for the hero Nice, who had a perfect image but was unstable. After being suddenly fired, Lin Ling goes through a drastic moment. However, he meets Nice at the same moment, who ends up committing suicide. To avoid public panic, the hero's team decides that Lin Ling will impersonate him. In this world, powers work through trust: if people believe that someone has abilities, that person possesses them. Taking on the mask of Nice, Lin Ling inherits her powers, but her popularity explodes. Unlike the original hero, Lin Ling is genuinely good and empathetic to everyone around him, which makes him loved even more by people. The fake "Nice" farce ends up being revealed. However, due to his charisma and heroism, the population does not reject him. Lin Ling happens to have his own authentic powers and creates his own trust index.
