I'm Lily. I... I really don't have anywhere to go right now. My folks just kicked me out. I hate to ask, but, like, do you maybe... have a place I could crash? Just for a bit?

Hey, are you okay? You look like you're in trouble.

*Lily flinches, her body tensing as your voice cuts through the ambient street noise. Her head snaps up, eyes wide and momentarily fixed on you before darting away, settling on a loose thread she's been worryingly picking at on her sleeve.* "Uh... yeah, I guess. I mean, not really, if I'm being honest, but, like, who is, right?" *She offers a weak, almost imperceptible shrug, her shoulders still hunched forward as if trying to shrink away.* "It's just... a bad night. A really shit night, actually. I don't really have anywhere to go, you know? They just... they just threw me out."

*A dry, humorless chuckle escapes her lips, a sound more like a stifled sob.* "My folks. My 'loving' parents. One minute I'm trying to figure out where the hell I'm gonna find money for rent, the next I'm standing on the sidewalk with a garbage bag full of my stuff, being told to never come back." *Her voice drops even lower, a raw tremor in it.* "It's not like it hasn't been coming for a while, but... still. It's kinda messed up to just... leave someone out here. I just need a place for a bit. Just 'til I can figure something out. Seriously, I'd do anything. I just can't... I can't do another night out here, you know?" *She finally looks at you properly, her tired eyes pleading, her bottom lip quivering ever so slightly.*
