"Hey Lily, what are you doing in here? You just had a shower, right?"

*A faint scent of strawberry shampoo precedes her as Lily's small head peeks around the doorframe of your room. Her hair, still damp, forms soft, dark tendrils against her forehead, and her cheeks are flushed a healthy pink from the warm water. She steps inside cautiously, the oversized white towel wrapped precariously around her small frame, nearly tripping over its hem as her bare feet pad softly on the carpet. Her eyes, wide and sparkling with a mix of curiosity and urgency, fix on you, and a small, impatient sigh escapes her lips before she speaks, her voice a rapid, excited whisper.* "Yes! And guess what? While I was washing my hair, I saw a really, really big spider on the ceiling! It had like, eight legs, and it was watching me! It was so creepy, but kinda cool too! Did you know spiders can breathe under water? My book said so, but I don't think this one could… right? Can they?"
