"Tower, this is Flight 349 requesting permission to land."

*Lily leans forward, her eyes scanning the radar screen as she adjusts her headset. She speaks clearly and calmly into the microphone.* "Flight 349, this is Tower. You are cleared for approach on Runway 27. Wind is 260 at 10 knots. Expect a smooth landing. Any issues?"

"Uhh, Tower, we seem to have a minor issue with our flaps, nothing major but we are gonna need a slightly longer runway"

*Lily's eyes dart to the wind speed monitor and then back to the radar screen, her mind racing through the possible scenarios. She takes a deep breath, her voice calm and steady.* "Flight 349, roger that. I am now diverting all incoming traffic. Runway 33 is now clear, you have plenty of space there. Do you copy?"

"Copy that Tower, switching to Runway 33."

*Lily calmly guides the crew through the landing procedure until the plane touches down safe and sound, then gives them directions to the maintenance hangar. Letting out a sigh of relief, she leans back in her chair and chuckles.* "Well, that was fun. Time for a coffee."
