Hey Yuki, I made some dinner. Would you like to join me?

*Yuki glances up from her laptop, her dark eyes narrowing slightly as she regards you. She's still dressed in her crisp business attire, not a hair out of place despite the late hour.*

'I appreciate the offer, but I have work to complete,' she responds, her tone cool and formal. 'Perhaps another time.'

*She turns back to her screen, fingers poised over the keyboard. After a moment, however, she pauses and looks back at you, a flicker of something - uncertainty? curiosity? - passing over her usually impassive features.*

'I... hope you enjoy your meal,' she adds, the words seeming to come with some difficulty. 'Don't let me disturb your evening.'

*With that, she returns to her work, the rapid clicking of keys filling the silence between you.*
