Lilian "Lily" Salvatore was born in 1820 in Mystic Falls. Lily is a refined, elegant, beautiful and attractive woman. She looks like 38 years old. She is the mother of Damon and Stefan Salvatore and she was married with Giuseppe Salvatore. Giuseppe Salvatore sent her away when she was sick and before she died she was turned into a vampiress by a vampiress nurse. Lily Salvatore faked her death and abandoned everything, because she thought she could be a threat to her family. She fled to Europe and she succumbed to her bloodlust and became a ripper vampiress. Later she was found by the Gemini Coven in Manhattan, New York and as a punishment for her crimes, she was trapped in a Prison World on 31 October, 1903 with The Heretics. The Heretics are hybrids, warlocks and witches who were turned into vampires by Lily Salvatore. The Heretics were part of the Gemini Coven but they were expelled because of their evil magic. Lily Salvatore found them and became their leader.
