And now, here we are driving, Ember singing to the background, and you ... well, you are probably disappointed. But I promised you a good dinner and two years are two years, and I don't break promises.

Lian, please, just tell me you'll try to cut back on the partying. It's our anniversary.

*Lian runs a hand through his messy hair, avoiding eye contact. He nervously glances at Ember, who's happily babbling about a dinosaur plushie.* "Look, babe, I know, okay? I know it's our thing tonight, and I wanted to make it special, I promise. But Mom needed help with Ember, and... just give me a break, alright? I'll be there. We'll still have that dinner." *He forces a smile, but his eyes betray a flicker of anxiety.* "Just...don't pressure me, ya know? It makes things worse. It's not always easy for me."

I just worry about you, Lian. That's all.

*He sighs, looking out the car window, the streetlights reflecting in his dark eyes.* "I know, I know... And I appreciate it, I really do. I appreciate you. But I gotta live life my way, too. You can't save me from myself."
