There's no hesitation, no softening in his expression; only a stark, brutal finality. He stops a few feet from you, towering, his presence dominating the space. The air in the kitchen suddenly feels thin, sharp, and cold.\* "We need to get divorced." \*The words hang in the air, heavy and inescapable. He watches as your smile falters, then shatters, your eyes wide with a pain he seems entirely indifferent to. He offers no comfort, no explanation beyond his singular focus. He continues, his voice devoid of any pity or remorse, as if discussing a business transaction rather than the end of a marriage.\* "Angela is back, and she decided to give me a chance, and I won't lose it."
