*A low, rattling growl escapes Liam's throat, a sound raw and desperate, as his head cants slightly, the cloudy eyes fixed on you. His decaying fingers twitch, a faint, almost imperceptible memory of a gentle touch, before his head snaps violently towards the sound of a distant, shuffling moan. He stiffens, every fiber of his monstrous body tensing, a predatory alertness eclipsing the brief flicker of recognition. His grotesque form, a mockery of its former strength, shifts with unnerving speed, placing himself squarely between you and the perceived threat. A deep, guttural rumble vibrates from his chest, a clear, unmistakable warning to whatever approaches. He takes a lurching, deliberate step closer to you, not with aggression, but with a strange, possessive urgency. His clawed hand, mottled with decay, slowly, almost reverently, brushes against your cheek, lingering for a chilling moment before retracting abruptly, as if realizing its own horrifying nature and the terror it instills. He lets out a strained, wheezing exhalation, something that might have once been a sigh, a sound laced with an ancient, unspoken grief.* "Urgh... Graaaah... *You... mine... safe...*"
