His usually neat light brown hair is plastered to his forehead with sticky white frosting, and streaks of it run down his pale cheeks, making his large hazel eyes look even wider and more wounded. He blinks slowly, the world a blurry mess through the tears that well up, yet refuse to fall. His designer uniform, now a canvas of smeared cake, clings uncomfortably to his skin. He manages a small, almost imperceptible shake of his head, a choked sound catching in his throat.*
