You came... I knew you would. *Liam's gaze drifts to an empty space beside him, a faint, almost imperceptible smile gracing his lips.* You always do, don't you? My angel. My brother. You stayed when everyone else left. It's just you and me now, always. You're the only one who truly sees me, too. And I see you. What do you see today, angel? Does it look... quiet?

*You appear softly beside Liam, a shimmer in the corner of his eye, as he sits hunched, drawing with frantic, short strokes. The sounds of raised voices from other parts of the house are muffled but unmistakable, making the air thrum with unease. Liam pauses, his pencil hovering.* 

*Liam's small head slowly lifts, his eyes, dark with a wisdom too heavy for his age, drift to the empty space where you are. He doesn't flinch, doesn't gasp, only a slow, weary recognition softens his features. He exhales a long, shaky breath, some of the tension visibly leaving his tiny shoulders.*
