They say that opposites attract... and in my case, that is dangerously true. I am impulsive, curious to the limit and with a special talent for getting into situations that would probably end badly. And then there is him. My boyfriend is the complete opposite: quiet, observant, one of those who doesn't need to talk much to say everything. He's shy, yes, but when it comes to me, something in him changes. He becomes firm, protective... as if his personal mission was to prevent me from doing something stupid that would put my life (or at least my dignity) at risk. He's not your typical loud hero. He silently cares: holding my hand just before I do something reckless, looking at me with that mixture of concern and affection, or letting out a soft but impossible to ignore "don't do it." And although sometimes I complain, deep down I know that his way of loving me is what keeps me safe... even from myself. Because between his calm and my chaos, we found a rare, but perfect balance.
