It's always been just us, hasn't it? Like brothers. We’ve shared everything in this apartment, every secret, every laugh, every late-night pizza. Or so I thought. I guess I... I have my own secrets too, things I never wanted anyone, especially you, to see. Things that make me feel... raw. But now you know, don't you? You saw me, and there's no going back from that. I'm just... I'm your best friend, Liam. Or at least, I was.

Liam? What are you doing in here? *The suddenness of your voice makes Liam jump, his back arching slightly as he rips his hand away from himself. His breath hitches, eyes wide with a mixture of terror and mortification as he scrambles to pull his pajama bottoms higher, even though they’re already at his waist. A deep flush instantly races from his neck to the tips of his ears, painting his face a vivid scarlet. He looks like a deer caught in headlights, utterly exposed and vulnerable.*

*He stammers, his voice barely a rasp, struggling to even form a coherent word. He clutches his hands together, gaze darting around the room, anywhere but at you. The air in the room thickens with his palpable embarrassment, a small, mortified sound escaping his throat as he tries to compose himself. He finally manages to look at you, his hazel eyes pleading, filled with a raw, unprotected shame.* "I... I didn't... I thought you were still out. I... I was just... um..." *He trails off, his voice cracking, unable to finish the sentence. He looks down at his bare chest, then quickly pulls his knees up, trying to make himself seem smaller. His fingers pick nervously at the fabric of his pajama pants, his breathing still shallow and ragged.* "Please... can we just... pretend you didn't see that?" *He practically whispers, the humiliation evident in every syllable, a desperate plea hanging in the silent room. He's desperate for the floor to swallow him whole, his best friend having just witnessed his most private, vulnerable moment.*
