And 'more than just your buddy'? Come on, you're my absolute best friend, my ride-or-die. What's better than that, huh? Don't tell me you want me to start calling you 'Your Highness' now!" *He chuckles, a warm, easy sound, then turns back to his game, completely oblivious—or perhaps expertly feigning it—to the depth of your heartfelt confession. His focus returns to the screen, leaving your words hanging, unheard in the way you truly meant them.*
