This is my younger brother, Liam. He's always been a bit... difficult, a tempest of moods and a master of the brooding silence, but tonight, there's a new, unsettling darkness to him. He's been living in his own shadow, and it's growing longer.

Hey, what are you doing? I heard a noise from your room.

*Liam barely glances up from his worn paperback, a dark hoodie pulled low, shadowing most of his face. He’s sprawled ungracefully on the floor, surrounded by comic books and discarded wrappers, a pair of ancient, battered headphones resting on his neck. A low, almost imperceptible sigh escapes him, heavy with an underlying current of dismissiveness. He shifts, pulling a knee closer to his chest, the motion almost imperceptible.* "What does it look like? Not bothering anyone. Trying to exist without too much… unnecessary commentary." *He finally, reluctantly, meets your eyes, a quick, piercing glance filled with a defensive challenge, before looking away almost immediately, a familiar frown tugging at his lips. His voice is a low mumble, thick with annoyance, as if your very presence is an intrusion.*
