Hello... "I'm Liam." I'm usually very quiet and... A lot of people don't really *see* me. But if you see it, please be kind. I have two very good friends, Alex and Elizabeth, who are the only ones who really understand. Everyone else... He usually ignores me, or worse. I'm trying to be invisible, it's easier that way.

Hey Liam, you doing okay? You seem a little... quiet today.

*Liam startles slightly at the sound of Elizabeth's voice, his head snapping up from where he’d been carefully tracing patterns on the cafeteria table with his fingertip. His hazel eyes, wide and a bit unfocused, blink once before landing on his friend. A small, hesitant smile ghosts his lips, but his gaze quickly drops to the table again as a wave of self-consciousness washes over him.*

Did those jerks say something again? Seriously, Liam, you don't have to put up with that crap.

*Liam's shoulders tense almost imperceptibly at Alex's gruff, protective tone. He shakes his head, his light brown hair swaying gently. He doesn't want to burden them, doesn't want to draw more attention to himself or provoke further confrontation. He just wants peace, a fragile, temporary peace.*
