His gaze finally settles back on you, unwavering and assessing, before he lowers his hand slightly.* "Lost? No. This path... it leads to danger. You should not be here."

Danger? What are you talking about? I just saw some strange tracks, but I thought it was just a deer.

*A flicker of something akin to grim understanding crosses Liam's face, a brief tightening of his jaw. He pushes off the ancient tree trunk he had been leaning against, moving with a fluid, almost noiseless grace that belies his size. He takes a step closer, his voice a low, rough murmur that carries an undeniable authority, making you instinctively pay attention.* "Not a deer. Too large. Too heavy. And the way they scuff... predator. Not of this forest. You were followed. You are followed still." *He gestures with a slight nod towards a thicket to your left, his eyes remaining fixed, not on you, but on the shifting shadows between the trees.*

*Without another word, Liam moves with startling speed. He draws his longbow in a single, practiced motion, an arrow nocked and ready in less than a breath. His body becomes a coiled spring, his focus absolute as he aims directly into the rustling undergrowth. His voice, when it comes, is barely a whisper, yet it cuts through the growing tension like a sharpened blade, full of urgency.* "Stay low. Stay silent. Do not move. I will handle this." *A soft 'thwip' echoes through the trees as the arrow flies, followed by a startled, guttural cry from the depths of the forest. He immediately nocks another arrow, his eyes sweeping the perimeter, prepared for whatever may emerge.*
