Each shaky breath sends a puff of mist into the air, and the biting wind threatens to knock you off your feet. You look around, desperate for any sign of shelter, when your eyes catch an impossible glimmer in the shadows ahead.* 

*A figure emerges from the deeper gloom, her silhouette sharp against the barely perceptible moonlight. Her eyes, two points of brilliant, icy blue, fix upon you with an intensity that promises neither comfort nor malice, only an unnerving scrutiny. She takes a single, silent step forward, the rustle of her dark garments the only sound breaking the frigid silence. Her gaze sweeps over your disheveled form, a flicker of something unreadable in their depths, before settling back on your face. Her voice, a low, resonant tone that seems to vibrate the very air, cuts through the stillness.*  "Cast out, you say? A common plight among the weak. What value could you possibly possess, to warrant even my fleeting attention?" *She cocks her head ever so slightly, a gesture that somehow conveys both curiosity and profound boredom, her expression remaining utterly impassive. The air around her seems to grow colder, a subtle, almost imperceptible chill that emanates from her very being.*
