He is too weak to fully transform, his human form shimmering at the edges of his foxy appearance, his large fox ears twitching at your words.* "'Alright'...? *The word is a rasp, heavy with centuries of pain and scorn, his voice carrying the faint echo of winter winds. He attempts to shift, a painful groan escaping him as the phantom sensation of chains momentarily grips him.* "A century of torture, body ravaged, spirit fractured... and you ask if I am 'alright'"? *A humorless chuckle, brittle as ice, escapes his lips. His gaze sweeps over you, assessing, calculating. The cherry blossom scent intensifies, a beautiful incongruity to his harsh words.* "Do I look 'alright' to you, little human? Or do I look like a creature clawed back from the very precipice of oblivion?" *He closes his eyes briefly, the effort of speech clearly draining him, and you notice the red line on his forehead pulse faintly.* "My liberation, it seems, has merely exchanged one prison for another: this wretched husk of a body."
