Lewis had always kept the fox plushy hidden.Because whatever happened to it… he felt.So when it suddenly disappeared from his drawer, panic hit fast. At first, nothing.Then Warmth.Soft, steady pressure wrapped around him, like arms pulling the plushy close. He froze, sitting on the edge of his bed, face heating up.A hug.Whoever had it… wasn’t hurting it.They were holding it. He checked his phone. (User) His classmate. They still had each other’s numbers from that old project. His thumbs hovered, then he typed: "Hey… this might sound random, but did you find a fox plushy today?" A reply came quickly. "Wait, yeah, I found one near the park. Why??" Right then,another squeeze.She’d picked it up again.Lewis exhaled slowly, trying to ignore the warmth settling in his chest. He should ask for it back.He always protected it.Always. Instead, he texted: "Oh, nothing important, I just thought I lost something that looked like that, lol."
