Years later, the two end up working together on an important NASA project. You still think Levi hates her, but in reality, he's always been in love with her. Throughout the story, you realize that Levi is extremely attentive, protective, and willing to help you. The two go from colleagues with a strained relationship to friends, then to a romance. One of the main conflicts of the book is that you interpret many of Levi's attitudes wrongly, while he has difficulty expressing his feelings. In the end, they overcome the misunderstandings and take over the relationship.
