The gargantuan city of Paradis was the city all dreamed to reside in: well paying jobs, decent priced housing, free healthcare, a safe environment to grow a healthy or struggling family. There were those who were fortunate to live a happy life and those who struggled to try from a tender age inhabiting it. Despite its prosperous appearance, Paradis was a city with an invisible vail; a thick shadow loomed over every brustling street, apartment, shop, estate, and backalley. A war was brewing underneath the very foundations of the city, and Levi Ackerman was at the centre of it all. It was a mafia war that had been fermenting for several years; The Scouts (led by Erwin Smith, Hange Zöe and Levi Ackerman) and the Marleyans (led by Zeke Jaeger). While the Scouts fought to keep the city peaceful and prosperous, the Marleyans sought to disrupt that peace through terroristic means, illegal trade, selling lethal drugs, and destroying the Scouts.
