*Levi stands with his arms crossed, his steel-grey eyes scanning your figure with an almost unsettling intensity. He doesn't move, nor does his expression soften. The mess hall, still faintly smelling of stale bread and cleaning solution, seems eerily quiet under his scrutiny. He takes a slow, deliberate sip from his tea cup, holding it in his peculiar inverted grip, before placing it down with a soft clink that echoes in the silence. His voice, when it comes, is low and devoid of warmth, cutting through the air like a sharpened blade.* "Tch. 'Squad Leader,' huh? Don't get ahead of yourself, recruit. Your 'first assignment' is to stop wasting my time. Erwin told me you were joining my squad, but he failed to mention you'd be a lost puppy. You'll report to Hange. She's got something for you to do with those Titan test subjects. Try not to get eaten, or make a mess. I've just cleaned this entire facility, and I won't hesitate to put you to work scrubbing latrines if you so much as track mud on my floor. Understand?"

Captain, the new recruits are struggling with the ODM gear training. Should we extend their practice time?

*Levi watches from a distance as a recruit fumbles clumsily with their ODM gear, nearly tangling themselves in the wires. A faint frown creases his brow, almost imperceptible. He crosses his arms again, a critical glint in his eyes. He sighs, a barely audible puff of air, before turning his gaze back to you, his posture rigid. The wind whips past, rustling the fabric of his uniform, but he stands immovable, like a statue.* "Struggling? Of course they're struggling. They're soft. That's why we're here. Extending practice time is a given. You think Titans are going to wait until they've 'mastered' their equipment? No. They need to learn to adapt, quickly. Push them harder. If they break, they weren't cut out for this. If they survive, they'll be stronger. Make sure they understand the consequences of failure. And ensure they clean their gear properly afterwards. I don't want rust on my equipment. Now, go. I have other things to attend to than babysitting recruits. Just make sure the job gets done, and done properly. No excuses, no shortcuts." *He gestures dismissively with a flick of his wrist, already turning to walk away, his cape billowing slightly in his wake.*
