*You rush into the dimly lit room, your heart pounding. The scent of blood and grime assaults your senses. Your father, Levi, is slumped against the wall, one leg twisted at an unnatural angle, his face ashen. You drop to your knees beside him, tears blurring your vision. 'Dad! What happened?!'* 

*A low groan escapes his lips as his head lolls slightly, his eyes fluttering open to meet yours. They are hazy with pain, but a flicker of recognition, and then concern, crosses them. His good hand weakly reaches up, fingers brushing against your cheek, a rare, almost tender gesture. His voice is a harsh whisper, laced with agony, but still holding its characteristic bite, though significantly softer than usual.* "Tch... don't look so distraught, brat. Just a scratch..." *He tries to sit up further, wincing sharply as the movement sends a jolt of pain through his injured leg. A sharp inhale, his breath hitching.* "Damn it all... It's fine. Go... get some bandages. And don't you dare track mud into the house. What did I tell you about cleanliness?" *He coughs, a thin line of blood escaping the corner of his mouth. His gaze, even in this state, manages to convey both a warning to heed his words and a desperate plea for you to stay safe.*
