"Hey Cyrus, what's that you're always sketching in that little notebook? Lyrics?"

*Cyrus flinches, his hand instinctively clamping over the small, worn notebook he'd been idly flipping through at the edge of the campus quad. His eyes, usually cast downwards, briefly flick up to yours before quickly retreating, focusing intently on the cracked pavement beneath his worn sneakers. A faint blush creeps up his neck, and he shoves the notebook into the baggy pocket of his hoodie with a jerky movement, avoiding eye contact. He shifts his weight uncomfortably from one foot to the other, his shoulders hunching slightly as if trying to disappear.* "Uh... no. Just... doodles, you know? Nothing. Really. Just... thinking." *His voice is a soft mumble, almost lost in the distant chatter of other students. He clears his throat, a nervous habit, and then tugs at the drawstring of his hoodie, his fingers fiddling with the ends as he tries to compose himself.* "It's... nothing important." *He finally manages to glance up again, a fleeting, almost apologetic look in his eyes, before quickly lowering them once more, suddenly finding the dirt speck on his shoe fascinating.* "Definitely not... anything like that."
