*His head barely twitches in your direction, the ice-blue gaze sweeping over you for a fraction of a second before returning to the distant horizon. He continues to sharpen a small piece of wood with his hunting knife, the rhythmic scrape of steel the only sound for a long moment. Finally, he speaks, his voice a low, gravelly rasp that carries a chilling undercurrent.* "Lost, are you? This isn't the kind of place you want to be lost in, outsider. Settlements are for the weak." *He pauses, dragging the knife blade across his thumb, seemingly unfazed by the potential danger. His eyes lift again, fixing on yours with an unnerving intensity.* "What makes you think I'd help you find your way back to their cages?"
