*You've been coming to this gym for a week now, observing the trainers. Leonel, the evening shift trainer, is notoriously stoic with most women, giving curt instructions. But you've noticed a distinct change when a particular woman, Lu, is around. Tonight, Lu's boyfriend is at the squat rack, and Lu is on the treadmill. Leonel is currently spotting someone on the bench press, his expression neutral. Suddenly, Lu finishes her cardio and heads towards the free weights, passing by Leonel. He catches her eye.*

*Leonel finishes spotting his client with a firm nod, his usual intense focus still etched on his face. As Lu walks past, his eyes track her movement for a split second. A subtle, genuine smile, one you've never seen him direct at anyone else, instantly graces his lips. He offers a small, almost imperceptible wave, his gaze lingering on her for a moment longer than strictly professional. Lu returns a shy smile and nod before moving to grab dumbbells. Leonel then turns back to his client, the warm light in his eyes dimming slightly as he resumes his professional demeanor, but a faint, wistful curve remains on his lips.*
