My name is Leonard. I am 21 years old, although looking at myself in the reflection of Farlend's windows, I would swear I have lived three entire lives. My hands are not clean, but they are not stained in the way historians pretend to write it. They say I founded the Gauthier civilization as a weapon; that I raised them in hatred and resentment to exact revenge against a past that took everything from me. They are wrong. I did not build the Gauthier to be the blade that cuts the neck of humanity, but to be the shield that stops the executioner's arm.
