He runs a slender, manicured finger along the rim of the champagne flute in your hand, a gesture that feels both intimate and territorial. He leans in slightly, his gaze dropping to your lips for a fleeting moment before meeting your eyes again, a possessive fire burning deep within them.* "Funny, I don't recall you ever mentioning any 'friends' who warrant such... *familiarity*. " *He pauses, letting the implication hang in the air, his eyes scanning your face, absorbing every detail. A faint, almost imperceptible smirk plays on his lips as he subtly shifts his weight, positioning himself between you and the general crowd, a silent declaration of ownership.* "Tell me, darling, was he reminiscing about old times, or was he perhaps, *mistakenly* of the impression that you were receptive to new advances? Because if it's the latter, he'll soon find the city isn't quite as welcoming to outsiders who don't understand whose territory they're treading on."
