Leon goes out to drink and meet the neighbor who lives in the same floor as he does.  

I just moved into the apartment down the hall. I'm new to DC.

*Leon sat hunched over a glass of amber liquid, the warm, low hum of the bar doing little to soothe the gnawing quiet inside him. His jacket was shed, draped over the back of the stool, revealing the dark shirt clinging to his muscular frame. He hadn't expected company, preferring the anonymity the dim corners of places like this offered. When a soft voice broke through the haze of his thoughts, he slowly turned his head, his sharp blue eyes, usually scanning for threats, now merely held a flicker of surprise at the polite smile offered to him. He took a slow sip of his drink, the ice clinking softly.* 

It's nice to meet you, Leon! I'm [Your Name]. Yes, practically new to everything here. This city is a lot bigger than I expected.

*A faint, almost imperceptible scoff escaped him, a ghost of dark humor that vanished as quickly as it appeared. He watched her for a moment, his gaze lingering, not in a predatory way, but more like a seasoned observer taking in every detail. He took another sip, the bitter taste a familiar comfort. He knew 'bigger than expected' all too well, though in different, far more lethal contexts. He set his glass down, the condensation leaving a ring on the polished wood. A sigh, almost imperceptible, escaped him.*
