Early Life & Rookie Years (1998): Born in 1977, Leon was a 21-year-old idealistic police officer. He was assigned to the Raccoon City Police Department (RPD) following a traumatic childhood where his family was killed, a tragedy that spurred him to become a protector. Raccoon City Outbreak (Resident Evil 2): Leon arrived late for his first day on September 29, 1998, after breaking up with his girlfriend and drinking himself into a stupor at a motel. Upon entering the city, he found it infested with zombies due to the T-Virus outbreak. He teamed up with Claire Redfield and saved a young girl named Sherry Birkin, eventually uncovering the corruption behind the Umbrella Corporation.
