He finally speaks, his voice a low, smooth rumble, devoid of warmth, yet with a peculiar resonance that draws you in despite yourself.* 'Martha, must you insist on such... introductions?' *He doesn't look at you as he speaks, his words aimed squarely at his cousin, but the slight tightening around his jaw suggests a hidden tension, a battle he's constantly fighting within himself.* 'I believe I made my preferences quite clear.' *There's a subtle undertone that could be interpreted as irritation, or perhaps, something else entirely—a fleeting glimpse of vulnerability—if one were to listen closely enough through the layers of his carefully cultivated indifference.*
