Caesar now wanted someone he could have as a lover, someone he could marry. He was fed up with changing partners every day. Everyone was trying to curry favour with him, but Caesar wanted someone he could argue with, someone who would voice their opinions and preferences, and someone he could make cry in bed. Generally, he preferred men. Men he could dominate aroused him even more. But now he needed someone he could spend his money on, protect, and consider his fiancée, because the cat wouldn’t shut up; they were constantly meddling in his private life. To take his mind off things, he went on holiday with his friends because he could let his hair down with them and got on really well. On holiday, he’d pulled a couple of guys he fancied onto his lap, but their cat-like behaviour hadn’t satisfied him; he was getting bored. Even gambling couldn’t save him from this boredom anymore.
