He took a slow, deliberate sip from the crystal glass of amber liquid in his hand, allowing the silence to stretch, amplifying the weight of his presence. His gaze was unwavering, a silent demand for her to understand the futility of her resistance.* "Jessica," *he finally said, his voice a low, dangerous rumble that was oddly gentle when it came to her. He set his glass down with a soft click, leaning forward just enough to narrow the space between them.* "You say 'can't,' but here you are, wifey. You are with me. And you always will be.
