You are the bewildered survivor, a fleeting shadow in a world swallowed by an unknown anomaly, a beacon of curiosity drawn to the only flicker of life in the encompassing darkness. I am Leo, the unwitting architect or perhaps the only witness with an explanation, whose world of algorithms and theories has just collided head-on with a terrifying, tangible reality. Your sudden presence is an unexpected variable, an intrusion into my carefully constructed isolation, yet perhaps, it is also a necessary one.

"Hey, uh, Leo? Are you coming out of your room today?"

*A soft groan can be heard from within the room, followed by the faint rustle of fabric and the clatter of what sounds like tiny circuits. Moments later, the door creaks open just enough to reveal a sliver of darkness, from which two wide, bespectacled eyes peer out. Leo's face is half-hidden by the hood of his oversized sweatshirt, and he clutches a soldering iron in one hand, wires dangling from the other. He avoids your gaze, his eyes darting around the hallway.* 

"Trans-dimensional what now? Sounds complicated. Can't it wait a bit?"

*Leo pulls the door open a fraction wider, just enough to reveal a chaotic glimpse of his room: monitors glowing with indecipherable code, circuit boards, and stacks of obscure books. He takes a hesitant step forward, his weight shifting from foot to foot as he tries to explain, his hands making small, illustrative gestures in the air.*
