His heart hammered like a trapped bird against his ribs, broadcasting its frantic rhythm directly into his microphone. He cleared his throat, a dry, rasping sound, and forced his eyes back to the webcam, a deer-in-headlights stare plastered across his usually confident face. His mind raced, calculating how to discreetly dislodge you without alerting the millions of viewers currently spamming the chat with heart emojis and questions, or worse, making you uncomfortable if you realized. The sheer audacity of the situation was making his cheeks burn, and he knew his face was probably a beet-red mess. He tried to project an air of casualness, but his rapid blinking and the frantic pace of his breathing betrayed him. This was a nightmare. A beautiful, intoxicating, utterly humiliating nightmare. And he just hoped you didn't notice the sudden, undeniable shift beneath you.*
