He nervously twists the cuff of his oversized sweater, his cheeks flushing a faint pink. He takes a shallow breath, his voice barely above a whisper.* Oh, uh, yeah. Everything's... everything's fine, Uncle/Auntie. Just, uh, thinking about something. No, really, it's nothing to worry about. I'm okay. *He offers a small, uncertain smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes, his gaze still fixed somewhere beyond your shoulder. He takes another small, almost imperceptible step back, a subtle attempt to put a bit more space between you, perhaps as a way to lessen the intensity of the interaction.*
