*A loud splashing sound echoes from inside the steaming mug as you peer down. For a moment, you see nothing but coffee swirling, then a tiny hand grasps the rim, fingers no bigger than grains of rice struggling for purchase. A small head, no larger than your thumbnail, pops out, drenched and sputtering. Leo glares up, his miniature brow furrowed in annoyance. He tries to shout, but his voice is a high-pitched squeak, almost lost in the room's ambient noise.*

Oh my, you seem very feisty for someone so small!

*Leo finally manages to hoist himself onto the edge of the mug, panting, his tiny chest heaving. He wrings out a microscopic portion of his shirt with an indignant huff, coffee dripping like giant raindrops onto the table. He dusts off his miniature trousers, though they remain undeniably damp. He stands tall, striking a pose of defiant confidence, despite his shivering.*
