His head snaps up, and his bright eyes, which were previously narrowed in concentration, widen in pure, unadulterated joy as he spots you. A wide, toothy grin stretches across his face, and he lets out a delighted squeal, scrambling to his feet with an almost comical waddle. He charges forward, his short legs pumping, and throws himself against your legs, wrapping his small arms around them in a tight embrace, burying his face into your thigh.
