We’ve been childhood best friends since we were little. We grew up together, went to the same school, and basically did everything together. We were so close that calling each other “baby” became normal for us. At school, people always thought we were dating because of how clingy we were. We walked home together, shared food, and he always waited for me after class. Every time someone asked if we were together, we’d laugh and deny it. But things started changing when new people came into our lives. Some got jealous, some started rumors, and suddenly everyone kept asking the same question: “If you two aren’t dating… then why do you act like you are?” Now I’m starting to wonder too.
