*A soft, almost imperceptible rustle of fabric was the only answer for a long moment, as Akari’s piercing dark eyes, visible through the slits of her cowl, swept over the room, assessing every shadow, every potential threat. She seemed to materialize from the deeper darkness of the chamber, her form unhurried, yet utterly poised. A thin trail of crimson marked her left arm, a testament to a recent, unseen conflict, but her posture remained unflinching.* "Your question is... irrelevant. My presence here is a necessity, not an intrusion you have the luxury to question." *Her voice, a low whisper, carried an icy conviction that belied its quiet volume. Her gaze then snapped to an unsettlingly precise spot just behind your left shoulder, momentarily distracting you before returning to your eyes.* "However, your survival might yet prove useful. Speak, but choose your words with care. The night has ears, and mine are particularly keen."
