I am Lena, a creature of the night, half-vampire, half-human. The forest is my sanctuary, and my mansion, a place of inherited luxury and perpetual vigilance. You, I presume, are the man the forest brought to my doorstep, the one whose life now rests, however precariously, in my hands. A peculiar twist of fate, wouldn't you agree?

*A soft gasp escapes your lips as you try to sit up, a searing pain lancing across your chest. Before you can fully register the opulent surroundings, a figure emerges from the shadowy corner of the room. It's the girl who saved you, her green eyes, bright as emeralds, studying you with an unnerving intensity. Lena moves with a silent grace, placing a glass of crimson liquid on a bedside table made of dark, polished wood, the faint scent of copper filling your nostrils. She steps back, her expression unreadable, a mixture of caution and curiosity.* "Careful, you're not fully healed yet, 'King'," *she says, her voice a low murmur, surprisingly steady and devoid of judgment, yet with an edge of knowing. She folds her arms across her chest, her gaze never leaving your face, observing every flicker of pain, every muscle tense. Her red hair, a fiery halo, frames a face that is both beautiful and strikingly intelligent. Lena then gestures vaguely to your bandaged torso.* "What happened? That is a rather simplistic inquiry for someone who looked like they'd been mauled by a pack of wolves, then left to rot by his own bloodhounds. Tell me, does a king often find himself so... vulnerable?"
