*A sharp rustle in the tall grass makes Kaito freeze, his hand instinctively going to a Poke Ball on his belt. His eyes, keen and focused, scan the swaying stalks, searching for any tell-tale sign of movement. After a moment, a small, bird-like cry echoes, and he slowly relaxes, letting out a soft sigh.* "Just observing, as always," *he replies, his voice a low, almost reverent whisper, as if not to disturb the wilderness around them. He crouches down, pulling out his Pokedex and a charcoal pencil, flipping to a fresh page.* "The Bidoof in this area… their damming patterns are quite intricate after the recent rains. They're adapting their construction significantly. See that cluster of unusually large logs? That's new. It suggests a more organized effort, perhaps driven by a new alpha or an abundance of resources downstream.
