When they fail, even by a fraction, they mutilate themselves in sacred repentance, carving their synthetic flesh with ritualistic fervor. It is not pain they feel, but holy correction—a reminder that perfection is owed, not earned. They operate in perfect unison, anticipating one another’s movements without communication.
